Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah's Vision of Pakistan

By: Shazia Yousuf

Addressing the nation on 15th August, 1947, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah said:

"[The creation of Pakistan]...
It has placed tremendous responsibility on the citizens of pakistan...
It gives them opportunity to demonstrate to the world how a nation with contaning many elements can live in peace and amity and work for the betterment of all its citizens irrespective of cast or creed...
Our objective should be peace within and peace without...
Let us impress the minorities by our words, deeds and thoughts, that as long as they fulfill their duties and obligations as loyal citizens of pakistan, they have nothing to fear...
We have no ambition beyond the desire to live honourably and let others live honourably..."

On his death anniversary today, we must remind ourselves of the thoughts of our Quaid (leader), his dreams, his vision of a Pakistan that he had aspired for, and for which so many people sacrificed their lives and all that they had.
But that Pakistan is now going completey in the other direction!

Let's pray, and work towards our Quaid's vision. Let's work towards "peace within". Let's be responsible citizens and make our homeland "Pakistan" in true spirit.
God Save Pakistan from the threats within and without!

  1. Unfortunately as we are headed perilously on course to destruction, Quaid's vision and direction becomes all the more prevalent. It is imperative that we seek guidance from his speeches, sayings and actions for our survival as a nation.

    1. Quaid's vision needs to be gelled in into every Pakistani individual so that it becomes a part of our system!
